Disable Firefox Telemetry
Open Settings > Privacy & Security and scroll to Firefox Data Collection and Use. Disable the available data-collection options.
For additional control, type about:config in the address bar, accept the warning, and search for telemetry-related preferences such as toolkit.telemetry.enabled. Set unnecessary telemetry options to false.
Disable Firefox AI Features
Go to Settings > AI Controls and enable Block AI enhancements. Review the warning and confirm the change if you don't use Firefox's AI features.
Change the Search Engine
Open Settings > Search and change the default search engine to a privacy-focused provider such as DuckDuckGo or Startpage. This can reduce reliance on search services that use extensive tracking and profiling.
Strengthen Tracking Protection
Under Settings > Privacy & Security, change Enhanced Tracking Protection from Standard to Custom. Enable stronger cookie blocking and protection against suspected fingerprinters. Keep in mind that aggressive settings can cause some websites to malfunction.
Enable Fingerprinting Protection
Open about:config and search for privacy.resistFingerprinting. Set it to true. This makes it harder for websites to identify your browser through unique configuration details, although some websites may experience compatibility issues.
Enable DNS over HTTPS
Under Privacy & Security, find DNS over HTTPS and select Max Protection. This encrypts DNS requests and helps prevent network operators from easily inspecting traditional DNS queries.
Enable HTTPS-Only Mode
Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows. Firefox will attempt to use secure HTTPS connections and warn you before loading websites that only support unencrypted HTTP.
Install NoScript
NoScript can block JavaScript and other active web content until you explicitly allow it. This can reduce exposure to malicious scripts and unwanted tracking, although it may require you to approve scripts on websites you trust.
